Mr. Altschul is a veteran journalist, writer, editor, and publicist. He has been a weekly and daily newspaper reporter and editor. He wrote a syndicated humor column for twenty years, and has been editor of four national magazines.

He is president, and co-Founder of Craig Altschul + Associates, Inc., (ca+a) a national writing and editing firm based in Tucson, Arizona serving nonprofit organizations, arts and culture, tourism, education, and recreation clients.

Mr. Altschul has served as Public Relations Director of the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles, and Executive Director of the Office of Communications of the YMCA of the USA in New York.

In his tenure with Jerold Panas, Linzy & Partners, he has written close to 400 Case Statements for the firm and its clients. He is equally at home writing cases for medical centers, colleges and universities, performing arts groups, cultural centers and community organizations. He has an extraordinary knack for getting to the heart and spirit of an institution.

Mr. Altschul is the recipient of the ACE (Award for Communications Excellence) from the International Association of Business Communicators; Past President of the North American Snowsports Journalists Association; Modern Media Award from the U.S. Recreational Ski Association; and the Thompson Trophy of the Rotary Club of Studio City, California.

He is a former board member and officer of a Historical Society and chair of a community foundation, and former member of the Board of Trustees of the Arizona Theater Company, The State Theater.
